The Embroidery Process
We provide an initial estimate of cost to the customer dependent upon
the garment and the design concept. An existing customer design, logo
or trademark is E-mailed, faxed, or mailed to our customer support
staff. Our artists can also assist our customers develop a design.
Our staff digitizes the image into the computer language which runs
the embroidery machines. A screen shot of the design is E-mailed to
the customer for approval. Our customer may also request a physical
sew out of the design for approval.
After approval of the design, we will provide a firm quote, an
estimate of shipping charges and schedule to completion. Upon
customer acceptance of the quote we will request a credit card or
other predetermined payment method.
The embroidery of the garment is dependent upon the digitized design
which was developed during the estimate/quote process. Digitization
breaks a design into as many as 9 colors. It provides a beginning and
ending point for each of the 9 needles on our machines. The design
and the type of garment determine the final number of stitches which
will be needed to complete the design. Digitizing of artwork only has
to be done once. If you choose to reorder the same design at a later
date digitization fees are not applicable.
The digitized image is downloaded from our computers to the
embroidery machine. A garment is placed and locked into a hoop with
backing on the underside of the garment. The hoop and garment are
placed into the embroidery machine which can hold up to 15 garments.
The embroidery machine can embroider the garments at approximately
350 stitches per minute.
After the embroidery is completed, the garment is removed from the
hoop and continues to a finishing station. The garment and backing
are trimmed, and the garment is steamed before shipment.
We have a total of 43 embroidery heads, which can produce up to 3000
images per day.
